An Ibadan based legal Icon and ex Banker, Elder Barrister Oludare Adewale has congratulated the newly appointed Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun charging her to uphold Ethics of legal profession and restore public confidence in the Judiciary.
Barrister Adewale stated this while chatting with Newsmen in Ibadan over the weekend.
He lauded the National judicial Council for the selection process calling on members of the Bar and Bench to cooperate with the new CJN in upholding the ethics of the legal profession in a view to correcting the erroneous impression of the Judiciary by members of the public.
On the recently introduced student bursary loan scheme, he lauded the federal government for the scheme, noting that such a step would go a long way in relieving poor parents.
He also stressed the need for adequate security for farmers to ensure uninterrupted farming aimed at adequate production of foods to beat high costs of food items.
The Legal Luminary equally charged security Agencies to nib kidnappings and wanton killings in the bud for the Country to move forward.
Elder Adewale called on Nigerians to always have a positive mindset and uphold the principles of good citizenship for a better Nigeria.
On corruption, he charged the ICPC and EFCC to stop acting as rubber stamp of the government in power but act independently and enforce the law without fear or favour.
He frowned at Former Governor Yaya Bello’s case in Kogi noting that it is Abad precedence as far as corruption cases are concerned charging the appropriate Authorities to do the needful to uphold fair ess and justice.
