The Managing Director, ZAAG Pharmacy, Pharmacist Abideen Ganiyu has disclosed that his establishment will continue to support the people of Kumapayi and its environs on good healthy living.
He stated this during the health sensitization campaign and free medical outreach to mark the 2024 Independence anniversary held at the Kumapayi area, Olodo, Ibadan.
He said the 2024 free medical independence tests for the people of the community was the fourth edition in the area for religious leaders, Monarch and residents as part of the ZAAG Pharmacy’s Corporate Social Responsibilities.
Pharmacist Ganiyu pointed out that ZAAG Pharmacy carried out free tests on Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure and other health challenges confronting the people of the Kumapayi area.
He said “ZAAG Pharmacy commenced operation in 2021 to empower and address the health challenges confronting the people of the area, also to contribute our own quota to the development of the Kumapayi community as part of our (CSR).”
Responding, one of the residents of the community, Mrs Ganiyu Lawal commended the entire management of ZAAG Pharmacy on their empowerment programmes and the free health mission for the people of the Kumapayi area.
For Nigeria Independence, Pharmacist Abideen Ganiyu urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) to give listening ears to the voices of the people he governs. Meaningful steps should be taken to alleviate poverty and foster development across the country.
He added that Nigerian youth must seize the opportunity to be innovative and resourceful, instead of depending solely on government support.
He said. “The major challenges hindering Nigeria’s progress is not merely corruption, tribalism or inflation, but a pervasive sense of entitlement. Many citizens believe the government should solely be responsible for their well-being, yet this perspective must change. As we mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary, Nigerians should understand that essential services, from hospitals to infrastructure, are often provided by the private sector in advanced countries of the world”.
