Earlier today, the Oyo State Government held a symbolic presentation ceremony for the distribution of teaching and learning equipment to public special schools in the state.
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Honorable Commissioner of Education, Prof. Saliu Adelabu, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters and other stakeholders in the education sector.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the state government’s efforts to provide inclusive education and equal opportunities for all. The distribution of teaching and learning equipment is part of the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for students with disabilities to learn and thrive.
In his remarks, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, represented the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and acknowledged his efforts in championing the rights of persons with disabilities in the state.
Governor Makinde’s administration has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of persons with disabilities. This latest initiative is a testament to his government’s dedication to creating a more inclusive and accessible society for all.
He expressed his gratitude to the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Saliu Adelabu and the Director General of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Barrister Adekambi for their tireless efforts in ensuring that persons with disabilities have access to quality education.
