The Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo has said that the present administration would continue to train Civil/Public Servants for effective service delivery.
She stated this during a Digital Skills Training Programme organized by the Oyo State Management Information Centre (MIC) on Advanced Digital Skills and State-wide Productivity Tools held at the Local Government House Training Hall, Secretariat, Ibadan.
She said the training programme was organised to improve work efficiency of the State Civil Servants to enhance their productivity in their various desks.
The Secretary to the State Government who was represented by the Permanent Secretary General Administration, Governor’s Office, Dr. Adekunle Oyedele added that, the present Administration would not leave any stone unturned to bring out the best in Civil Servants through adequate training and re-training.
Professor Adeyemo enjoined the participants to make good use of the knowledge garnered in the training programme for efficient service delivery for the State Government.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT, Mr. Bayo Akande, junior commended Governor Seyi Makinde for constant approval for the training and re-training of the State workforce on digital skills, hinting that, the world is now a global village.
In her remarks, the Director of ICT, Engineer (Mrs) Abisola Adabanija urged Civil Servants to equip themselves with advanced digital skills, saying that, the training marks a pivotal moment in the journey to digitize the public sector, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the operations and contributing to the growth of the digital economy.
She said, “It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to this important training session on digital skills, tagged “Digital Skills Nigeria,” conducted in collaboration with Tech4Dev. This training has been approved by His Excellency to significantly enhance the digital competencies of our civil servants, a crucial step towards our goal of Business Process Automation
“As civil servants, this is a golden opportunity to enhance our skills and improve our service delivery. I urge you all to concentrate fully and give your optimal attention throughout this program. Remember, this is a “train the trainer” session, and we are expected to replicate the knowledge gained here at our various MDAs.”
